Christmas Season are approaching, and people from all walks of life are definitely on a Christmas rush. People rush to the department stores and bazaars to buy gifts and Christmas presents for their loved ones. We buy toys for kids, clothes and shoes for mom and dad, and even techie gadgets for our friends. These things, even if they will in truth make them grateful, mean costs, and even if we want them to have those things, we cannot provide those to them all of the time. But, we still have some other means where we can show them how we care.

As the cliché goes, actions speak louder than words. . Still, things sometimes are better said than done and words can often best depict what we feel towards a person or family member or a relative. Greetings cards are as old as our history, but its effectiveness in bringing people closer together cannot be doubted. Couples exchange anniversary cards when celebrating their anniversary. We give our mothers and fathers cards when the world celebrate their day. We send apology cards when we ask for forgiveness and we give thank you cards when we acknowledge someone’s deed or action. This is the reason why during Christmas, even if we don’t have any to buy gifts, sending Christmas cards is a great alternative.

It is great to know that the World Wide Web has a huge chunk of resources where we can pick and select message and greeting cards for the people we love. We can order them online, and almost all of the time, we can also send them online. Gift of Cards is definitely one of the coolest websites to look for greeting cards and messages for your relatives and friends. Cards can be delivered at your home in no time, you can order them at the comfort of your home.

Sending a card may not be the single best means to everyone happy, but it is surely a good way to express and communicate with them. Whether we are with them or we live across the miles, giving them a simple card will make them feel important, respected, and loved.

The genre in television programming has greatly altered since the time television was invented. This is an obvious fact. Yet, the concept of bringing televisions shows to reality through the introduction of reality-based programs has broken the classic notion of predictable television, and the offering of real-time, unscripted television programs brings the level of entertainment into higher toes.

These kinds of shows are watched by thousands of viewers because of the horde of surprises and that level of excitement that awaits them since character behavior are unexpected and the twist and turns of events are not so predictable unlike in the regular television series that we used to watch. But, since viewers are given this medium, their idea of an ending for a show becomes obvious, and eventually they have already thought of the possible endings for a show even if those programs are not even finished yet. This leads to a challenge to the entertainment think-tanks on how to strategize and formulate reality-based programs that will offer a new flavor and excitement for their target market. Also, the inclusion of culture-sensitive elements must be considered in order not to offend one’s religion and social norms, or even face sanctions from the censors.

Whatever the next developments will be, reality programs will still exist as people want surprises and as the cliché goes that one’s life is unique, and so as every reality show.

The author is a fan of <a href="http://bahaynikuya.com" title=""Pinoy Big Brother Double Up>Pinoy Big Brother Double Up and constantly following the developments in the lives of the housemates particularly Cathy Remperas and Carolyn Batay.

It’s no doubt that articles are very popular now. Articles are a great way to promote products you are selling, helping you build your business and gaining a wider market. Articles should be full of information, easy to read and understand, and provide readers helpful information towards their topic of interest. In most cases, articles will include a link to a website, which is designed to sell products or services that relate to the article.

Normally, they are submitted to directories, article banks, websites, and sometimes used in online magazines as well. There are many uses for articles, as they are one of the effective methods to promote products and services online. Although articles have various uses, one of the best is with autoresponder. If you combine articles with lots of information, like those discussing about payday loans, life insurance, or talking about natural medicine, with an autoresponder, you will have results that you can be proud of. Autoresponders are very hot nowadays – although only a handful use them in combination with articles.

You can do this by setting up each one of your articles with your autoresponder. You should ensure that each article has its own address, meaning that you’ll need to use an autoresponder that allows you to it. Once you have an autoresponder that allows you to do this, you must create a master list of every article you have, putting the address of the autoresponder beside of the article title. If you prefer, a description of the article in the master list can also be added.

If you have many articles, keeping up with them can be a tedious task. Those with huge number of products, commonly have huge repository of articles. If you are selling them, you probably have more than you can count. All over the Internet, people are looking for articles. One great source we have seen for PLR articles on the web is Maranan Content. Articles contain information, something that describes products or present solutions . Each and every day on the Internet, millions of people around the world search for information. This information that they search for, is usually found in articles.

If you’re going to make an advertisement of articles one at a time, it would take you quite a bit of time. If you got hundreds of articles to show, it will take weeks, or even months. Through the use of autoresponder, you can save a lot of time. Displaying one address with one article won’t take you long at all, as the autoresponder will do a majority of the work. Just put your website’s link, or add it to your pro-forma emails. These tools can certainly get your articles and information out there, all you have to do is give them a try.

This post on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for newbies is not written from the catbird seat point of view of the article publisher or database manager. It is rather by and from the point of view of an author who recalls the early misgivings. It is written especially for the beginning article writer. I have composed and presented hundreds of compositions for publication to numerous of article directories and database managers and still finds article writing my nemesis.

1. Needs vs Wants:
Compositions and Blogs are necessary in present day system of search engine indexing. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just think of what the Holy Book states, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. That’s right! Many of us detest article and blogging at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a unavoidable evil” as they are not mostly anyone’s best wished house keeping jobs.

2. Just Start, It Gets Better:
First it is often hard to get a subject or theme and to get started. We know authors who actually get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. There are a lot to write about, name it: alternative medicine, cancer diseases, true religion, life insurance, playing online poker, cheap insurance. Others may think of even more unusual topics such as penis enlargement and cheap viagra. Once an writer has a starting point and gets passed the introductory thoughts, article and blog writing usually works pretty smoothly.

The key thing is that you begin writing. Pick a theme you know something about and just begin writing. You will be pleasantly amazed at just how easily ideas flow. Don’t assume everyone knows what you know. They don’t. Will Rogers once said, “all men are ignorant, just on different subjects”. And, so it is!

3. Good vs Perfection:
Your old English composition professor is not looking over your shoulder. Your composition need not to be perfect. It doesn’t mean it should not get a point or to say that it does not have to be correct. At least it does or it should be. But, perfection is not the goal and is, in fact, rarely possible. Too much detail and you run the risk of losing your reader on several levels. Too long and
most readers simply don’t have the time or interest to read the material irrespective of how important it is.

4. Blog Length vs Article Length:
Most web publishers require a minimum of 600 words per article – some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can be much smaller. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate images and embedded links.

Don’t over do it though. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a host who can ban you entirely from their service. articles, on the other hand, typically cannot carry these extra touches concurring to the essentials of most publishers.

5. Format:
Save your article in ASCII format. There are a lot of software from which to choose to get the job done. A search for ‘free ASCII editor’ or for ‘free plain text editors’ will provide one with a multitude of free options. WordPress is a popular pick. If all fails simply use notepad to turn out your masterpiece.

6. Grammar and Spelling:
Once you have your article or blog run it through a good spell checker and a good grammar checker. Microsoft Word works well for these purposes. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for publication of your article. Rather use its suggestions to make any necessary corrections to your copy in plain text. The MS Word copy will work for blogs although other editors are favored.

Like the good old days when you were encouraged by teachers, you will find article and blog authoring skills become better with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:
Once your article is ready you may want to utilize some automatic tools to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog servers and select those which best suit your needs. Register in one or more and publish your blog there. Then search for blog and RSS announcers and use them to get your blog noticed.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your writings to free article publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of hosts in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Patience:
Now, have some patience. Here is where you lose control. Many of those who host articles are timely and your writings will be reviewed in a span of 1 to 2 days. But, many others will be days and weeks down the road therefore never date an article – a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection – “sorry your article has been declined”:
Be prepared for most hosts to reject your compositions. Do not be personal about this. It usually has little to do with you or your article.

Some sites routinely reject compositions for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some hosts are simply too slow-moving and get so far behind, the best and quickest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject the whole article. You will know who does this over time.

Then there are those who run your writings through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, irrespective of how they are used, your article gets no farther. These are those who can’t even publish the Bile because of the words it contains that may offend readers. These are people who are narrow-minded and doesn’t deserve a place in article writing.

Remember, just as in everything else in life, for every rule there is an exception.

10. Always believe, and keep cranking out articles:
Since most authors, especially newbies, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up – keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your articles are accepted and published taking visitors to your website while producing those all significant links to your sites.

It is not unavoidable that every publisher to accept every submission. After one or two hosts publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize additional postings of the same article. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not increment your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more significant to get your article published by directories with the highest Google PageRank possible.

Now, one Incentive Hint for you: Along with “the rejection slip” will usually come a proposition on how to “fix” your article and a asking that you submit it again. Don’t blow your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new article where you can get more exposure. There will be enough web publishers will get your article up so move on and save yourself some time and heartburn.

Each person has a thought or idea at least once a day usually at the wrongest time. How many of these ideas are lost because you procrastinate? Don’t procrastinate! Go! Write that thought before it is gone forever.

Maybe most of us like to quit our job if we could. We incessantly crave for it, but that’s the only thing we can do: dreaming. Working an 8-5 shift just seems inevitable. I, Rey Pugon, however am a master at defying the inescapable. I stare ‘The Foreseeable’ straight to the face and call him dirty names. I say, if you like to stop working, QUIT YOUR JOB; I’ll even give you 5 reasons why you should.

1. If you leave your job you’ll have more time to devote to reading good articles such as this one. That will make me a trademark name down at the Office of Unemployment and Welfare Services. My fame is a simple price in achieving your dreams. You’ll think of this when you see me on TV.

2. There’s a great feeling in quitting your job. For about 10 minutes you’ll be on cloud nine, you’ll be on top of the world, you’ll have a good life, you’ll be: -insert your own line of though here-. Then the worries start about the mortgage, school tuition, groceries, and how you’re going to pay that $850 you owe the Petermanns for running over their mailbox and a whole row of prize-winning azaleas. All this will bring depression up to the extent of attempting suicide, but at least you had 10 minutes of freedom.

3. Daytime TV shows is considered the most thrilling and fascinating television around. You’ll wonder how you ever survived without all those documentaries, quality soap operas, judge shows, talk shows, and judge shows where you suspect that the judge has beed paid. When you combine this with all the informative TV ads that air during the day that will ‘Show you how to make $1,000 a day stuffing envelopes, ‘Teach you to drive a tractor trailer in 4 days’, ‘Allow you to get a degree from home’ in such exciting fields as GED preparation and septic tank scrubber’ and you’ll not just think why you didn’t leave your job sooner, you promise you won’t get back to work again.

4. In your previous job you missed all those calls from colletors and billing agents. Now that you have quit your job you’ll be able to sit at home in eager anticipation of these oh-so-important calls. Toss in a few telemarketers, calls from the Sheriff’s Association asking for donations, and a few of those computers that call you and ask you to ‘Hold for an important message’ and you’ll have a full day of just answering the phone. It will be like having a full-time job all over again, without all the hassle of getting a paycheck.

5. Drawing yourself to get out of bed daily at 5:30 in the morning is not good for your health. Your physician will be happy to know that you care enough for your body to go as far as quitting your job. He will not, however, see you as a patient anymore since you don’t have health insurance. But there’s no need to worry, after all that’s why we have free clinics. Waiting all day in this clinic next to two teenagers with stage 3 Chlamydia is is another wonderful experience you will surely miss if you keep working on your present job.

There you have it folks. Five raesons why you should go out and leave your job. Have a free feeling to say these to your employer when you turn in your two weeks notice. If she wants to knowwhere in the world you get that information tell her that a unselfish friend gave them to you free of charge, and all I wanted in return was that you remember me when you get your septic tank scrubbed next time…

Why do we celebrate birthdays? What is it that we are proud of? Is it because against all the odds we managed to survive another year? Are we taking notes of our progress, our victories and triumphs? Is that symbolizes a new hope for us to live for another year?

None of the above, it would seem.

If it is the past year that we are commemorating, would we still drink to it if we were to receive some bad news about our health and imminent demise? Not likely. But why? What is the relevance of information about the future (our own upcoming death) when one is celebrating the past? We cannot change the past. Never a future event can vitiate the fact that we have made it through another 12 months of struggle. Then why not celebrate this fact?

Because what we focus on is not the past. It is about our future, not about the past. We are celebrating having arrived so far because such successful resilience allows us to continue forward. We’re proud of our potentials to further enjoy the gifts of life. Birthdays are constructions of unrestrained, blind faith in our own suspended mortality.

But, if this were true, surely we have less and less to celebrate as we grow older. What reason do octogenarians have to drink to another year if that gift is not easily guaranteed? Life offers diminishing returns: the longer you are invested, the less likely you are to reap the dividenda of survival, life insurance for example. Indeed, based on actuary tables, it becomes increasingly less rational to celebrate one’s future the older one gets.

Hence, we are driven into the conclusion that birthdays are about self-delusionally defying death. Preserving the illusion of immortality are what birthdays mean. Birthdays are forms of acting out our creative thinking. By celebrating that we exist, we give ourselves protective charms against the nonsense and whimsical nature of a cold, impersonal, and often hostile universe.

And it works most of the time. Have a no prescription – Happy birthday!

Object of the game:
The objective of Bingo is to accomplished a certain pattern called for in a certain game with the minimum number of calls. Before the game, the pattern to be formed is first determined, it can either be a a box, a full horizontal, a vertical, or a diagonal, or or what is called a block out, in which you’ll have to fill your whole card.

The Bingo Card
The card Bingo uses has the letters B, I, N, G and O at the the top indicating five columns. Each of the column has its own set of numbers ranging from 1 to 75.

The B column has the numbers from 1-15, while column I has numbers, 16-30, 31-45 are the numbers for the N column, the G column has numbers from 46 to 60, while column O has numbers from 61 – 75. Each columnEach of the column may only have 5 numbers from their respective range.

With the numbers, the cards forms a grid which the middle, the third row of the N column is labeled free, this cell need not be filled.

The Game Proper
First you need a Bingo card, which you can have more than one, depending on how fast you can label them.

The game immediately starts after the host tells everyone the pattern to be completed.

Listen for the first ball, the host will call out a letter, either B, I, N, G or O, for the column and then a number, e.g. I-30.

See if you have this number in your card, then label it.

The host continues to draw numbers until a person formed the required pattern.

The person with a finished pattern should shout BINGO immediately! To inform everyone that she has finished the pattern and has won the game.

The host will then verify all the numbers and their position in your card, either by taking your card, or by you shouting out the numbers that made you form the pattern.

Another bingo game may follow after another, aiming for a different pattern or just the same, with the same or another kind of prize.

The prize should be immediately given after a Bingo.

Note
Never yell BINGO if you haven’t accomplished a pattern yet, this halts the games and annoying for other players.
